Dr Martens have been a major part of American history dating back to the 1960’s. The Dr Marten shoe came about in Munich Germany in 1945. Dr. Klaus Maertens had a skiing accident and he injured his foot, as a result he decided to make a show that was comfortable and would help his foot to heal. He created a shoe with an air cushioned sole. He used rubber from old rubber tires to get the affect. He and his friend Dr. Herbert Funck developed the shoe and started selling the shoe in Germany. Ladies white Doc Marten ‘Flower Burst’ Boots.
With the release of Dr Martens Flower Burst white leather boots in a publicity haze it shouldn't be too long before I at least see one person wearing a pair somewhere, so far this hasn't happened. The publicity haze has not been from Doc Martens themselves but from an unusual source – the blogosphere. Most have welcomed many of Doc Martens modern releases, I think it is time they have moved on, but is this the boot of the future? I'm not so sure! What would you wear this with? Read more »
