Dr Martens 1460 range are the original
Doc Martens that were released on the 1st of April 1960 thus the name 1460 (the date). Over the years the 1460 range has spawned a huge collection of boots with only the colour design changing from boot to boot. We have created a little idea of the collection to the left and you can easily see from this that the possibilities are limitless.
During their long history many fashion designers (and street kids) have added their own signature to the Dr Martens 1460 range including Vivienne Westwood.
Dr Martens 1460 were original the favoured boot of postmen, police officers and factory workers but are probably most famous for being worn in the many UK subcultures that have since dominated the fashion and music world.
These boots that were designed during the second world war to provide a comfortable option to work boots have already proved the test of time and their popularity (especially the 1460 range) shows no signs of fading.
