With the release of Dr Martens Flower Burst white leather boots in a publicity haze it shouldn’t be too long before I at least see one person wearing a pair somewhere, so far this hasn’t happened. The publicity haze has not been from Doc Martens themselves but from an unusual source – the blogosphere. Most have welcomed many of Doc Martens modern releases, I think it is time they have moved on, but is this the boot of the future? I’m not so sure! What would you wear this with?
I am not saying the boot is ugly, it is actually very pretty and gives us a new look DM without just changing the colour, it offers an easy inside zip and nice flower motif, but again what will you wear this with? And where? The boot is too impractical for anyone looking for footwear for more than a one occasion (in this case a rodeo). For me personally it is the ‘Skelly Boots’ as ugly twin.
If you are really looking for a boot that has bit of attitude while remaining functional I would suggest the purchase of Dr Martens Gallery Petula Mono Flower boot. It is certainly not ugly and will probably go with any pair of jeans you currently have in your wordrobe, but if you are a person that really enjoys standing apart from the crowd this may be the boot of your dreams. Tell me what you think?
